Welcome to the House of Hustle!

by Jay & Michelle Brock

Right now Jay and I are renting a cute little red casita in a lakeside town called Zirahuen.  It is the best designed 450 sq.ft. we have ever seen, and we plan on being here for a month.  Here is the kitchen and living room.

Here are pictures of the bedroom and bathroom-so cute!

We both have a strong sense that the next month is one of discipline and hard work, and we have loved getting up before daybreak every morning, eating a healthy breakfast, and hunkering down to work from 7:00am to 6:00pm.  Taking our example from the Mexicans around us, lunch is our biggest meal of the day, followed by a siesta.  I absolutely love devoting this much time to anti-trafficking work and Spanish study, while Jay works hard on his own projects.

After 6:00pm we fix ourselves some dinner, watch the sunset from our porch, and sometimes make smores in our clay pot fireplace!  Pretty awesome.

Please keep us in prayer this month as we hustle!  What a blessing it is to have a season like this!

Disclaimer: my mom emailed me and told me that the ‘older generation’ reading this post might associate a red house of hustle with a brothel.  Don’t worry, we are in fact opposing that very thing in our little red house!
